The beautiful v-shaped waistline hits lower than your natural waist, to help shape your body, and it also has a midi A-line skirt with a side slit.
- It comes with 11 different size options, from size US 0-20 (or EU 32-52), fitting a wide range of bodies, and each size comes with 3 different cup options, making the fit even more customizable.

The model is 180cm/5'11"ft tall. The skirt was lengthened to fit her body. The original pattern was drafted to fit the height of 165cm/5'6"ft. If you are shorter or taller, make the necessary adjustments. The pattern comes with instructions on how to make those alterations.
Made this dress as a "advanced beginner", with some thrifted fabric. Lovely design and great fit, I did change the cups since i wanted more bust support, i guess my pieces had less "spread" of fabric so it lays more flat on the chest. Good enough instructions, but learned a lot about aligning seams and different techniques on the way. Took me as a beginner about 3-4 weekends (6-8 days).
It was my first ever sewing project and although it was challenging I learnt so much and am still happy with my results a year after.
I made 2 toiles of the corset style top, with one that is wearable (see pictures) and then I made my final project in a brown cotton canvas. I modified the pattern to make it a maxi dress.
The video tutorial made it super easy to understand what I needed to do and how!
(For the top I put the invisible zipper down the back and upside down - closing from the bust towards the waist and ommited the lacing because it would have made it impractical and with the print it would make it too busy aslo)

In love with how my dress came out following this pattern! The video was especially helpful and I love the option for removable cup pads. The only thing I wished I did was finished the zipper a different way so the tape didn’t fold over, but was flush with the top seam so I could add a hook and eye, the zipper pokes my under arm a little, but not noticeable after a few minutes. Definitely the best thing I have ever sewn!
El patrón está bastante sencillo de seguir, me gustó bastante, el detalle trasero para ajustar al gusto. Si tuviera que poner alguna anotación es que vendría bien marcar los piquetes para marcar el frunce de la copa pero es un detalle menor.

Made a lovely summer dress, as a beginner the bust was a little tricky to make but I am so happy with the result!
I have been obsessed with that Carmen dress for the better part a year now and this pattern has been on my to do list since I started learning how to sew. It's exactly like the dress! So beautiful and flattering, and the sizing, at least for me, was exactly perfect. I chose to do no slit and add a ruffled hem and added lace to the straps just to make it a little more my style. Will be making one for my sister asap! The only thing was the straps were extremely long, I ended up chopping off a good 5 inches off each one but I guess its better to have too long straps than too short and one is an easier fix than the other. I used an old cotton bedsheet for the fashion and the lining, but I did make sure to interface the entire bodice. Eager to try her other patterns now!

The bustier was a bit finicky, and I should have done a few more try ons instead of being lazy, but I made adjustments and I'm In LOVE! Overall it was super pleasant to put together as well!

Great pattern, I made two for my sister, one out of cotton and another out of crepe back satin. I’d say if you’re a plus size person to skip the boning unless you’re using something that for sure won’t bend.

Pattern is very very good! I did change a few things (shirring in the back because I’m afraid of zippers, extra inside layer for the boning, different order of steps to minimalise visible seams) but I didn’t change anything about the shape of the dress. It’s so flattering! I should have added some more cm in the cups and in length, but this was a nice first try! It is super easy to work with!
Super easy to follow directions and the YouTube video was a huge help. I love this dress, there are a few things I will tweak to better fit my body, but even then I love this first dress and can’t wait to make the next one
The pattern was very well made and easy to print out. This was my first full pattern I've followed on my own and it was really easy to understand! Highly recommend this dress, the result came out so well despite my low skill level. <3

I tried this pattern and looks sooo beautiful if you are new to sewing will be difficult but if you have some projects on your back the experience will help you, summarising I love it!

This is a very good and elegant pattern. The video instructions and text description were very useful. I had no trouble sewing the dress :) (however the straps were weirdly long, just do a fitting before sewing them on the dress)
